Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS) will be running a Workplace Hockey Competition at St Margaret’s Pastures in Leicester. The competition will follow a round robin format, where teams will be able to play several games against a variety of teams / workplaces. There will be prizes available but the emphasis of the competition will be on fun and enjoyment. Players of all ages and abilities are welcomed. There will be full instruction and practice available on the day and the competition is open to beginners.
We are particularly encouraging entries from businesses who may be willing to support Leicester Hockey Club (LHC). You will be able to hear first-hand about the exciting opportunities and developments arising over the coming months and years.
The LRS Wellbeing @Work package and associated events are available to all businesses of any size and type, and from any sector. Workplaces must be able to enter a team of 6-8 colleagues in order to take part in this event (Only one registration needed per team). We are particularly encouraging entries for this competition from businesses who may be willing to support Leicester Hockey Club, whether it be through pitch hire, utilising the club rooms, or branding / sponsorship opportunities.
Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS) hosts regular inter-workplace competitions which are open for local workplaces who wish to enter a team of colleagues and to try a new sport or revisit an old one, socialise with colleagues outside of work, and network with other local workplaces. The event will be an opportunity for businesses who wish to support a local sports club to learn more about the vision for the St Margaret’s Pastures site and potential partnerships.
Teams must comprise of a minimum of 6 players and entry will cost £30 per team of 6. You may bring up to 2 additional players on the night (at an additional £5 per player). Please note that only one team member name needs to be given at the time of booking, details of other team members will be collected prior to the competition. Important: Payment can be made on the day or by posting a cheque made payable to Leicestershire County Council FAO Bryany Cornish, Leicestershire & Rutland Sport, Sport Park, 3 Oakwood Drive, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 3QF. Please note that cancellations must be provided at least 48 hours prior to event start or you will still be charged.

About St Margaret’s Pastures Sports Centre and Leicester Hockey Club
On 1st April, LHC took over the management of St Margaret's Pastures Sports Centre - a popular community sporting facility with strong roots in the community around Leicester.
