The Usability Lab is an industry facing research and insight laboratory that specializes in evaluating innovations and understanding the consumer/user behaviour in complex environments, such as retail. The state of the art facility includes novel techniques and new technologies, which research and capture a range of human responses to products, services and environments such as:
- Human performance and behaviour
- Human psycho-physiological responses
- Impact of design factors on behaviour
- Human computer interactions
- Virtual and real-world comparisons
- Interaction of development of augmented reality
During this event, we will describe the work and ethos of the Usability Lab, illustrated with case studies of research undertaken. There will be an opportunity to have 1-2-1 meetings with the lab director to discuss commercial projects and potential sources of funding for commercial research in this area.
The event is aimed at businesses and individuals that work in environments that require knowledge of consumer and user behaviour. It will be particularly useful for the retail, tourism, hospitality and creative industries.
