This two-hour workshop provides an introduction to mindfulness and meditation and will explore how learning mindfulness practices can improve your wellbeing at work. A grounded, supportive, practical and accessible approach to considering stress, anxiety and their impact on working life and business will be offered. Myths around Mindfulness will be dispelled, and delegates will be expected to participate in group discussions and to join in activities in the workshop, in a supportive environment. The relationship between Mindfulness and improved productivity in the workplace and business will also be explored.
The event is aimed at line managers, human resources colleagues, workplace wellbeing champions and anyone interested in finding out about ways to promote their own and their colleagues wellbeing in business and the workplace.

Mindfulness has a great evidence base to support its use in business. Evidence shows that it can help people to find calm and focus in busy, stressful environments. The event will enable creative thinking about wellbeing which can impact an increase in productivity and a reduction in staff absenteeism and presenteeism. 'People buy people' in business and finding ways to respond to others through Mindfulness (instead of reacting) will help to foster more positive business relationships.
